Forbidden art, a dying sect, and tournament season. You were only sent for firewood.
The Nine Peaks Sect once ruled every martial tournament in the empire. Now its halls leak, six of its peaks stand empty, and the Convocation of Blades is one valley away. Place badly, and the sect loses its mountain.
You're a servant-disciple. You chop the wood, haul the water, and watch the real disciples train from the edge of the yard. Then, under the woodshed floor, you find a manual no one was ever supposed to read again.
